LEWIS HAMILTON VISIT
In November 2022, we received at Casa Amarela Lewis Hamilton. He is the greatest black driver in the history of Formula 1, 8 times formula one champion and who recently received the title of honorary Brazilian citizen.
It was an honor to receive a great reference like Lewis Hamilton, who defends and believes in education as a possibility to transform the world, just like us. This meeting inspired us to continue and strengthened our objectives as an educational center.
CINEMA AT SANTO SKATEPARK
In November 2022, with the presence of JR, we officially started the cinema sessions in the educational space Santo Skate Park. We see this space as a possibility to achieve one of our objectives - expanding our reach inside Morro da Providência and also promoting projects and quality of work in the public spaces of the territory.
BLACK NOVEMBER 2022
Black November is a festival that exists since 2020. The pedagogical intention of this festival is to give back to the territory, Morro da Providência - inserted in Little Africa territory - and also an invitation for all residents to get to know the educational work carried out at Casa Amarela.
Our educational pathways are focused on teaching an education for etnico-racial relations and an education for diversity built throughout the year during all the activities we offer at Casa Amarela. This culminate artistic works such as: presentations, exhibitions of educational activities, photographic exhibitions, videos, documentaries, etc.
In this way, we occupy the main square, during a week of activities that are attended by all employees and also guests committed to the same purpose - an anti-racist education. Reaffirming our commitment to the residents of Morro da Providência and its historical context, we also intend with this movement to encourage the local economy and build up the calendar and cultural scene of the territory.

MIP COLLECTIVE DOCUMENTARY
It is with great joy that we present a little bit of what this wonderful experience has been. Experience of full of exchanges, learning experiences, sharing with the participants and a lot of affection. The first mini documentary of our Collective MiP - Mulheres Independentes da Providência, created in Morro da Providência in 2019.
This documentary focuses on the period from August 2021 to April 2022, in which the FUND FOR WOMEN grant was executed. We had professional training courses in six modalities, namely: ethical fashion, macramé , massage therapy, cooking, sewing and modeling and natural cosmetics.

Brazil has recently experienced a significant political shift that will have a strong impact on its future, maybe not the same kind of impact for everyone.
We asked the young girls from Providência, representing one of the most neglected part of the population, what they would do if they were to be elected President and their answers are pretty clear. Very clear-headed and realistic, bringing Hope & Optimism with music, here is their response! ✊🏽🇧🇷
URBAN DANCE
We had the great pleasure to receive Emilie (@emiliebrooklyn_) and Anastasija (@anastasija.olez) during the Detour Urban Dance Festival to give two very special dance classes. It was a very beautiful moment for all, where the kids got to share with international dancers their own passion for this discipline. Thank you Marie Gumdrop and Hugo Oliveira for always bringing more culture and dance life at Casa Amarela!
Nova era - Casa amarela
Nova Era is the first clip by Banda da Lua, recorded in collaboration with producers, rappers, musicians and choreographers - all volunteers from Casa Amarela. In this work, the youth introduce themselves, talk about their lives in Morro da Providência and also about their dreams for the future. The Banda da Lua is formed by a group of teenagers from Casa Amarela who are dedicated to learning music, dance and theater with professionals from Providência and its surroundings throughout the year. We came to make noise! And, we're just getting started. Stay tuned.
