WHO ARE WE?

We are a collective of women, mothers, entrepreneurs and housewives from Morro da Providência. Our purpose is based on professionalization, training, empowerment, encouragement and inclusion in the areas of well-being, self-care, beauty, crafts and cuisine.

The Independent Women of Providência Collective (MIP) is dedicated to the women of the territory, aiming for social and economical transformation. MiP was born from an affectionate relationship with the mothers of children who participate to our activities, which began with the projects of her own female empowerment project, such as Dona de Mim or Saia Empoderada.

Today, MiP acts as an empowering force for women through literacy, professionalization, mentoring, self-care and entrepreneurship programs.

OUR OBJECTIVES

TRAINING women through courses and experiences, which will be conducted by facilitators and partners of Casa Amarela.

EDITAL FUND FOR WOMEN

The Independent Women's Collective of Providence (MIP) was created in 2019 by the women working in the territory and gained strength in 2020 in collective actions to fight covid-19.

Currently composed with 115 women aged between 18 and 62, the MiP works directly for the social, political and economic insertion of the most important part of society, women, heads of families and mothers.

The socio-economic objectives aim at both entrepreneurship and employability as a means of generating income for those who work. After winning the public notice by L'Oréal - Fund For Women, an emergency fund to face the impacts of Covid in vulnerable areas, the courses officially started in August 2021, with 6 courses: Natural Cosmetics, Sewing and Modeling, Cooking, Macramê , Massage Therapy and Ethical Fashion.
